Pushkar Camel Fair is a vibrant celebration of Rajasthani culture featuring music, dance and camel races in the desert. This annual fair is very popular among tourists all over the world. Rajasthan and Pushkar Camel Fair - 2008 is an annual tour that incorporates most interesting places in Rajasthan. It offers an opportunity to mingle, experience and participate in the most colorful festivities. A tented city is created near the Pushkar Lake during the full moon days in November every year. It glows with colors as thousands of men and women cover the sand dunes and indulge in festivities, trade in livestock, handicrafts, participate in camel races, folk dance, and drama and music competitions. Festive India has a magical flavor and unique romance to it. Visiting India during colorful festivals is an added pleasant experience.

Transfer by car / coach to Bharatpur and visit Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary, the largest concentration of exotic birds in Asia and nesting ground of thousands of egrets, Siberian cranes, waterfowls and other rare species. Proceed to Fatehpur Sikri – the now deserted capital built by emperor Akbar. Transfer to Pushkar Fair by car / coach. It is believed that Hindu God Brahma was pondering about a place to perform a Vedic rite when a Lotus flower fell from his hand and water gushed out from that spot in this desert. Lake Pushkar is considered to be the only one of its kind in India! Thousands of faithful assemble here every year on a full moon day to celebrate the occasion and pay homage to their lord. In a continuous celebration for three days and nights they turn this desert land into a colorful bazaar. The desert becomes alive with colors, music, sounds and excitement.
