DAY 3 - Thursday - Jaipur - Palace On Wheels
The first stop of Palace on Wheels is Jaipur, one of the most well planned cities of the world of its time. Breakfast on board. After breakfast to explore the city, an air-conditioned coach takes you to Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds, which is a remarkable five storeyed building along the main street of the old city in pink splendor with semi-octagonal and delicate honey combed sandstone windows. This is followed by a visit to Amber Fort, eight kms. away from Jaipur, where rides on caparisoned elephants add to the ambiance. After lunch at a Palace Hotel, you are off to the City Palace, home of the erstwhile royal family. Right across the road from the City Palace is the Jantar Mantar, the largest observatory built by the Sawai Jai Singh II. The Luxury coaches will take you back to Palace on Wheels in the evening. Dinner on board.

DAY 4 - Friday - Sawai Madhopur - Chittorgarh - Palace On Wheels
One can almost sense a life of the wilderness, as the Palace on Wheels arrives in Sawai Madhopur, a city named after its founder Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh I. After breakfast on board a visit is arranged to the Ranthambore National Park, wherein are located the ruins of a 10th century fort. This wildlife sanctuary is considered to be the country’s best for observing and photographing the activities of the tiger. The park, covering an area of 392 sq. kms. is home to more than 300 species of birds. The tiger, hyena, ratel, jackal and fox are among those constituting the carnivorous population here. Upon return to the Palace on Wheels, you leave for Chittorgarh, when one gets an opportunity to watch the colorful countryside passing by in the daylight.
After lunch on board you are in Chittorgarh Images of love and valor; scars of battles lost and won ... thrice-besieged, Chittorgarh Fort is all this and more.

DAY 5 - Saturday - Udaipur - Palace On Wheels
Arrive in Udaipur, the Lake City in the Morning. It was founded by Maharana Udai Singh of Mewar, after the Sisodia dynasty was driven away by the Mughals, in 1559A.D. Perhaps the two most beautiful sites of Udaipur are the dream-like marble Palaces - the Jag Niwas (Lake Palace) and the Jag Mandir, which appear to rise from the blue waters of Lake Pichola. After lunch a visit to City Palace is exhilarating.
In the evening, visit the crystal gallery. Later return to Palace on Wheels by an AC coach and proceed to Jaiselmer. Dinner on board.

DAY 6 - Sunday - Jaiselmer - Palace On Wheels
Arrive Jaiselmer, founded by Rawal Jaisal, in 1156 A.D. Here the yellow sandstone fort is an imposing sight, towering magnificently over the city. Discover the painstakingly latticed havelis or mansions with their grand facades. The Nathmalji-ki-haveli, Patwon-ki-haveli and Salim Singh-ki-haveli are fine examples of the stone carver’s skill. After lunch on board, go for an exciting camel ride on the sand dunes of Sam, before sipping a refreshing cup of tea. Enjoy the dinner and the cultural programs at a hotel in Jaiselmer. Return to Palace on Wheels by an AC coach and proceed to Jodhpur at night.

DAY 7 - Monday - Jodhpur - Palace On Wheels
This morning the Palace on wheels is in Jodhpur, a city ringed by a high stone wall with seven gates and several bastions. This second largest city of Rajasthan, founded by Rao Jodha in 1459 A.D. is known for its rock-solid Mehrangarh Fort. The grand palaces within - Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana are impressive examples of architectural excellence. Near the fort complex lies Jaswant Thada, and a group of royal cenotaphs made of white marble. After lunch at a royal Palace hotel, return to the Palace on Wheels. Depart for Bharatpur. Dinner on board.

DAY 8 - Tuesday - Bharatpur - Agra and Taj Mahal - Palace On Wheels
Early this morning, the Palace on Wheels arrives in Bharatpur, the capital of Maharaja Suraj Mal. After breakfast pay a visit to the world famous bird sanctuary, Keoladeo Ghana National Park, the nesting place of thousands of Egrets, Siberian Cranes, migratory Water Fowl and other species of birds. Return to Palace on Wheels by an AC coach. Arrive at Fatehpur Sikri - the red sandstone Mughal palatial complex. Within the enclosure is a mosque built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar and dedicated to the Sheikh Salim Chisti, a muslim Sufi Saint who blessed him with a son. After lunch move on from the Red Fort and arrive at the Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world. A pristine monument of undying love. It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal.
Return to Palace on Wheels. Dinner on board.

DAY 1 - Delhi / Bagdogra / Darjeeling
Transfer to airport and leave by air for Bagdogra and drive to Darjeeling. Remainder of the day at rest and acclimatize to the change in altitude. Darjeeling is dramatic with it's dark hillsides and abundance of flowers. It has a stunning view of the Kanchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world.
DAY 2 - Darjeeling
Before sunrise drive to Tiger Hill to view the memorable sunrise over Kanchenjunga and catch a glimpse of Mount Everest. Return to Darjeeling via the Ghoom Buddhist Monastery. Established in 1850, this is the oldest monastery in Darjeeling. Remainder of the day at leisure.
DAY 3 - Darjeeling
Full day city tour visiting the Botanical Gardens, the Victoria Falls, Tenzing's House and Bazaars. Return to your hotel.
DAY 4 - Darjeeling - Kalimpong
After breakfast, drive to Kalimpong and transfer to hotel. Half day tour of Kalimpong covering a cactus nursery and the famous Zang Dog Palri monastery. Later proceed for a visit to Dzong Do Palri Fo-Brang Gompa, Flower Nurseries and Sericulture Research institute.

Transfer to Ranthambore.
Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve extends to over 220 square miles of forest with numerous valleys and flat hills in a picturesque surrounding. The tiger and leopard are the main predators found here. It is also home to cheetah, sambers and the blue bull, found only in India. In these two days we will have several jungle excursions accompanied by resident warden to view and photograph the wildlife.
DAY 4 - Ranthambhore National Park (Tiger Preserve)
Early morning elephant ride & drive to the jungle for tiger tracking and other wild animals in their natural habitats. After lunch walk around the surroundings for a nature walk.
DAY 5 - Ghana Bird Sanctuary
Transfer to Ghana Bird Sanctuary, one of the worlds finest water bird preserves.
Bird watching and nature walk.
DAY 6 - Ghana Bird Sanctuary - Agra
Morning boat rides and bird watching. Transfer to Agra.
DAY 7 - Bandhavgarh National Park
Travel to Khajuraho and drive to Bandhavgarh.
The forests of Bandhavgarh are the white tiger jungles of the yesteryears. Wandering through the Bandhavgarh National Park on an Elephant Back, the chances of seeing a tiger are quite good. Among the other wild attractions include Chausingha, chital, wild boar and sometimes a fox or jackal. Jungle safari.
DAY 8 - Bandhavgarh National Park
Visit the national park on the elephant’s back and see the Tiger and other wild animals in their natural habitats. After lunch walk around the surroundings for a nature walk.
DAY 9 - Kanha National Park
Transfer to Kanha. The Kanha National Park came into being in 1955 and forms the core of the Kanha Tiger Reserve, created in 1974 under Project Tiger. The Park's landmark achievement is the preservation of the rare hard ground Swamp Deer (Barasingha), saving it from near extinction. Stringent conservation programs for the overall protection of the Park's fauna and flora, makes Kanha one of the most well maintained National Parks in Asia. Aside from its diverse wildlife and bird population, the frequent sightings of Tigers roaming in the wild at Kanha Wildlife Sanctuary remain the most popular draw.
DAY 10 - Kanha National Park
Jungle Safari. Drive to the jungle for tiger tracking and bird watching. After lunch one can walk around the surroundings for a nature walk or walk for a bird-watch.
DAY 11 - Delhi
Transfer to Nagpur. Fly to Delhi.
DAY 12 - Delhi
Checkout from the hotel by 12 noon.
Depart on your onward journey.
